The Lorne Summit Declaration

In May 2025 AuSCAA and the National Heart Foundation brought 150 leading researchers, clinicians and policymakers together for the Lorne Sudden Cardiac Arrest Australia Symposium.

There attendees investigated critical gaps in sudden cardiac arrest prevention, detection and survival in Australia, particularly gaps that affect young Australians and athletes.

In the wake of the symposium, AuSCAA urgently called for a national coordinated response to one of the nation’s foremost public health emergencies.
